Eric is an entertainment strategist who formerly ran the media-and-entertainment strategy practice at Deloitte Consulting. Now leading his own boutique firm, Eric works with studios, broadcast and cable networks, music companies, video-game publishers, digital-distribution entities, and related companies on new businesses, new products, and new services, industry and competitor analyses, high-level organization design, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning. Eric is a prominent thought leader and speaks regularly at industry fora and colloquia on the future of entertainment and corporate strategy.
Eric is also an actor, writer, stand-up comic, voiceover artist, and producer. A diversity advocate, he is currently producing abiopic about a biracial American Olympian who became the first woman to win two gold medals in diving at the 1948 London Games. And while diversity of race, gender, and orientation are crucial and should be a given in 2018, he believes that the most important type of diversity is diversity of thought.
Eric teaches public speaking and presentation skills to corporations, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations, and he recently launched an executive-search firm, focused on the entertainment space. Eric holds an MBA in strategic management and marketing from The Wharton School, an MA in international studies from The Lauder Institute, and a BMath in computer science with a drama minor from the University of Waterloo. His interests include volunteerism, irony, and unconventional people.
