E.J. has a background in real estate, finance and entertainment. He runs a debt fund call Miramac Capital where he helps to solve California's real estate crisis by financing developers renovating old properties and building new ones. E.J. has also worked in the entertainment industry and, most recently launched Recursor.TV which hosts and produces science fiction content including original series Nina Unlocked (Boston Sci Fi Film Fest Best Series 2017).

Prior to being an entrepreneur, E.J. spent 15 years as a Wall Street investment banker (somehow all while remaining in Los Angeles). He was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, where he ran a group in commercial real estate, led west coast private placements and financed two motion pictures.

Prior to this, E.J. worked at Houlihan Lokey, an LA-based investment bank, was a strategy consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a financial analyst at Disney and on the television series "Babylon 5" for Warner Bros.

E.J. earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Middlebury College. He taught English in Thailand as a volunteer for WorldTeach an currently serves on the Board of KIPP LA a non-profit public charter school organization serving 5,000+ students in South and East Los Angeles. He enjoys running, mountain biking and skiing.
